The CNLA Board of Directors is made up of the Executive Committee and the Provincial Association and Committee representatives.

The CNLA Board of Directors meet twice a year to dicuss the overall operations of the association. One meeting takes place during the summer, usually August; while the second meeting takes place during the winter, usually in late January.


CNLA Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is a standing committee reporting to the Board of Directors through the President of the CNLA.  Reporting via the President, the Executive serves the CNLA Board in its function of governance by:

  • Acting as the liason on behalf of the CNLA Board with the Exceutive Director of the CNLA;
  • Providing an essential link and sounding board to the Executive Director as he/she provides the work schedule of the CNLA.

CNLA Provincial Representatives

The Provincial Representative is the liaison between their respective Provincial Association board and the CNLA's Board of Directors.  The general purpose of which shall be to:

  • Advance the views, policies, opinions and activities of their Provincial Association;
  • Liaise with other Provincial Association Representatives to strategically align agendas that are national in scope;
  • Communicate the CNLA agendas, programs, initiatives and goals to their respective Provincial Association board.
