About Landscape Canada
CLP - Hunter

Landscape Canada is a committee of CNLA. Part of its mandate is to do work specifically beneficial and tailored for the Landscape sector.

Landscape Canada is working on several projects to raise the level of awareness and professionalism in the landscape industry, such as:

CNLA has recently become a country partner member of the European Landscape Contractors Association (ELCA) and CNLA members can now share in the benefits.

Any landscape member of CNLA may attend most ELCA meetings and events. CNLA landscape members who choose to join the Committee of Firms can also participate in an intern exchange program and tours. The Committee of Firms was created to intensify the information exchange among landscape professionals at the international level by consolidating knowledge, developing new areas of responsibility, sharing experiences, and promoting exchange. The dues are $200 EUR. The following benefits come with joining ELCA's Committee of Firms:

  • International Tours with owners of landscape companies, held in conjunction with ELCA meetings twice per year, mostly in Europe.
  • Landscape Employee Exchange Program to train young people in the profession who have an interest in working in a foreign country.
  • International contacts and an exchange of information with experts and colleauges.
  • The right to display and use the ELCA logo for advertising as a member of the ELCA Committee of Firms.

If you are interested in the Committee of Firms, the landscape employee exchange program or the tours or would like additional informaiton, please contact:

[511,143 bytes]
With just over 1,800 CNLA members in the landscape sector, 209 responses were received — one of the best results in recent survey history. The simplified, on-line format made it quick and easy to respond. It is anticipated a greater response will be received in future surveys. The more responses received, the more accurate the information.
